BI Bar raises suri alpacas, and Julie’s yarns are in several of the 22 natural colors of alpaca or exquisitely hand dyed.

Iris Schreier of Art Yarns dyes up some gorgeous color combinations in her luxury lines of merino, cashmere, and silk yarns.

Thursday, 8/8/24 Blue Sky Fibers and Amano. We carry several lines of Blue Sky Fibers, in both their alpaca yarns and Highland Peruvian wool. Amano out of Peru has some of the finest alpaca yarn on the market. We carry their Anyi (baby alpaca and silk) and Mayu (Royal alpaca/cashmere/silk).

Friday, 8/9/24 Euro Yarns, Hand Spun Hope and Bella Vita Ranch. We carry several lines from Euro Yarns. Hand Spun Hope has organic cotton, merino, angora blend and Boracera silk, all hand spun and dyed with natural plant based dyes in Rawanda, Africa. This mission provides dignified work for these at-risk women and allow them to support their familes. A faith-based mission, they provide counseling services and other forms of help for these Rawandans who have survived genocide but still carry the scars and memories of the atrocities against their people. Fiber is produced from HSH’s own merino flock, and the cotton and silk is sourced from other female-based organizations. Then it is hand spun and dyed by the ladies of HSH. Bella Vita Ranch is Deb Power’s ranch, the founder of Everything Alpaca, and she has lots of yarn and roving in stock in several colors of the 22 natural shades of alpaca. Most of Bella Vita’s yarn is grade 1 to 2.

Saturday, 8/10/24 Knitting Fever, Greenwood Fibers and Angel’s Crossing Alpacas. We have Noro, Luisa Harding, and other lines from Knitting Fever. Greenwood Fibers hand dyes its luxury yarn in Utah. We carry their Roma yarn at this time, a gorgeous blend of cashmere and silk, and hope to carry more in the future. We have a sample box of their other lines to share during the crawl. Give us some feedback on which lines you would like to see in our store. Leading Men from Illinois are indie dyers, and we carry a couple of their kits and mini skeins in extrafine merino. LIttle Squirrel is a small indy dyer yarn company in Colorado, and we carry their beautiful brushed suri/silk blend yarn which can be used in our crawl knit pattern, the Windswept Cowl.
